Fairfax County Battalion Chief George Robbins visited our lab
George Robbins, Battalion Chief with Fairfax County Fire and Rescue, visited the Design Computing and eXtended Reality (DCXR) lab as our primary partner on the Fairfax VR + AI firefighter training collaboration. We gave him a tour of our facilities, demonstrated current progress on the system, and exchanged ideas for next steps.
Overview
The visit focused on strengthening our partnership with Fairfax Fire and Rescue: showing Battalion Chief Robbins how the lab is set up, walking through the prototype and pipeline, and discussing training needs and research directions together. As our main point of contact for the collaboration, his feedback helps align the project with operational priorities and real-world command scenarios.
